In a world where banking should provide security and opportunity, many—especially young adults with low credit scores in minority communities—often feel overlooked, underserved or excluded by traditional financial institutions. Many of these individuals have faced “no” so often that they feel locked out of financial stability entirely, perpetuating cycles of poverty and insecurity.
As the brand deepened its roots in Syracuse and expanded into Buffalo, Empower set out with a mission: make banking accessible, transparent, and inclusive— especially for the underbanked. The campaign needed to speak directly to those who’d been told “no” too many times.

Our “More Ways to Say ‘Yes’” campaign embodied this vision. The big idea was simple yet impactful: the transformative power of “yes.” Instead of creating obstacles, Empower aimed to provide affirmative, accessible solutions, helping individuals feel supported. From aiding with applications to crafting tailored products, the campaign centered on empowering individuals to overcome barriers and confidently pursue their goals.
Our outreach is paying off in visibility. With over 106,000 visits this year, traffic to our site has surged, showing that our message of inclusivity resonates. We’re not just attracting visitors—we’re building a community of people who trust us to meet their unique financial needs.
